Meatballs with a Cheesy Topping
500g beef mince
1 large egg, beaten
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
3 garlic cloves, minced
420g can pasta sauce
¾ cup grated mozzarella
Preheat your oven to 190℃ fan bake. In a bowl, mix together the beef mince, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, dried herbs, garlic and season with salt and pepper. Cover and set aside for 15 minutes.
Using wet hands, roll the mince mixture into 12-16 balls. Or use: Avanti Stainless Steel Meat Baller 3.8cm. Bring a large oven-safe pan try this one Large Oven Safe Dish to medium heat with a glug of olive oil, then cook the meatballs for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden.
Pour the pasta sauce and ½ cup of water over the meatballs, then fold to coat the meatballs in the sauce.
Sprinkle over the grated cheese, try this grater: Grater Four sided then bake for 15 minutes or until the sauce is bubbling and the meatballs have cooked through. Leave to sit for 5 minutes before serving, then enjoy!
